Frequently Asked Questions
Your therapist will walk you to the treatment room and discuss what you are interested in accomplishing in your session today and with your input put together a treatment plan to meet your individual needs. The therapist will then leave the room and allow you to undress to your level of comfort and get positioned comfortably on the table under the sheet. The therapist will knock before entering the room to make sure you are on the table and covered before entering. Once in the room your therapist will make any adjustments to the face cradle and leg bolster to make sure you are comfortable and begin the massage. You will be covered by the sheet the entire time, the therapist only uncovers one area at a time where they are currently working. Glutes are worked through the sheet and genitals are never uncovered. After the massage is complete the therapist will leave the room and allow you to get dressed. When you are ready you can come out of the room and the therapist will discuss with you how you are feeling after the massage and any further treatment plans.
If it is your first massage with us please plan to arrive 10 minutes early. You will be asked to fill out a short intake form. This will provide your therapist with an overview of your physical health, medical history, stress level and areas of pain. Your therapist will go over this information with you to determine the best treatment plan for your needs.
Dry cupping therapy is a technique used alongside other hands-on therapies. Cupping brings increased circulation to the area and stretches fascia (connective tissues). The cup is placed on the area using suction from a suction gun. Cups are typical left on from 3-20 minutes. While in place the therapist will work other areas of your body. The number of cups placed will vary depending on your individual needs.
